yeast infection while pregnant.

posted 30th Jan
what did you use, i thought i was able to get mine to go away but now i think its coming back, im a little itchy down there, mostly by my clit still. i havent called my OB but im gonna call them today and see waht they reccomend? or maybe they will want to check me to see if it is infact yeast? i have an appt monday so maybe we can adress it then, since there is no way i can go to the doctor this week. but just wondering what you used, and how long and if it came back?
If i recall correctly I had one as a teen after my knee surgery and it was terrible, and very obviously a yeast infection, this is just itchy clit, and i have noiced discharge that is more, cloudy and stuff. ick i hate this..

Cornstarch.

ETA:

As a kid, I got those infections quite frequently. My mom always had me put cornstarch down there. Usually by the following day I was all better.

I edited my first post.

I usually just put it in my hand, and then rubbed it on my skin. Just make sure when you shower, to clean everything off, and put some on before you go to bed.

Also.. I honestly don't know how or why it works. ( I have never thought to look into it tbh), but I just know it has always worked for me. My mom has always been big on home remedies if it will avoid a doctor's visit.

It comes with both. They give the cream for the outside and suppository for the inside. Plus you can get a one day or 5 day

I was told by my midwife not to use any thing intravaginally. You can only use the cream externally.

Here OP, I finally decided to research the cornstarch thing, and a lot of links are advising against it.

Perhaps this will help you though.

We use this when my dog (English bulldog) gets a yeast infection in between her folds. Lol

I'd suggest monistat, it comes in a cream and is safe during pregnancy. Make sure you get the medicated and not just the anti itch one. You can also talk to the pharmacist at the drug store and they will advise you further.

You can shove some garlic and yogurt up there. You can heat some garlic water and once cooled soak a tampon. Ive read women soak tampons with (diluted I assume) apple cider vinegar. If you want to try any of these research them first.

Is that safe to do while pregnant though ?
