how many cloth diapers to get?
posted 30th Jan
we are doing cloth diapers this time around. i'm looking to do kawaii diapers since it fits our budget the best. any suggestions on how many cloth diapers you really need to have? i plan to wash every day but i want to have enough incase i don't get to it for 2 days. i was thinking 24 but i didn't know if that was too many or too little.

24 was enough for me to wash every couple of days. Even with the 40+ I have now I still have to wash every 2-3 days otherwise there's too many to fit in my machine!

24 would work. I have 21 and I only need to wash every 2 days

what brand of diapers do you ladies use?

24 will work great. I use Flip covers with prefolds. They are very affordable and easy to wash. I have maybe 2 dozen prefolds and 4 covers (plus 3 pockets and 2 other random covers because they were cute). They have all fit my toddler since he was 3 months old. For the first 3 months I used some Thirsties covers that I bought at a garage sale. They work great too, but they are sized and he outgrew them. If you are anything like me you will end up with more diapers than you really need because you find a really cute one on sale or just have to have a new one for his one year photo shoot.

I u bumgenius they are pricey but cottonbabies.com is having a sale right now on the flip covers. And I have a 3 week old with 24 diapers I try to wash every day, but I could probably push it to every other day. Plus it depends on the day sometimes he will poop more often
