Contractions

I don't want to bother waking DH, getting DS out of bed and going to the hospital if this is nothing.

Earlier today my OB checked my cervix, I had bleeding, (not spotting, bleeding, clots, mucus, not sure if it would have been considered bloody show because I didn't get it with my first) then I started having contractions. Went to L&D after about 2 hours. They checked, said my cervix was extremely soft, but not dilating any more. Came home, been having contractions all night, but nothing too bad. Went from bright red blood to pink spotting to brown spotting, then started bleeding bright red and thick again.

For the past hour they've been every 3 minutes and a lot more painful than I'm used to. My labor contractions with DS1 didn't hurt at all until my water was broken, so I have no idea if these are natural labor contractions or not. They radiate around to my back and into my chest and I can feel what resembles period cramping during them. Do I really need to go back to L&D or are these just BH?

I would go back if I were you, they're pretty close together and consistent.

Doesn't sound like BH to me. I would head to L&D better safe then sorry. 3 mins is cutting it close hun.

They're ALWAYS that close together though   When I do have BH they're that close and my labor contractions with DS1 started that close as soon as they started my Pitocin and stayed that close the whole 25 hour labor. I could probably drive myself. I just really hate to wake the whole house   They hurt, but they're more uncomfortable than anything. But they're just as strong as my labor contractions were. Ugh. I don't know  

Can you call L&D and ask what you should do? Maybe that would make you feel better about waking everyone up to go..if l&d says to go. Good luck just in case!

They'll definitely tell me to go in. They always do. The hospital is 5 minutes from here do I'm gonna wake DH and tell him I'm gonna drive myself so we don't wake DS up.

At L&D. So far they're acting like my uterus is just irritable. Waiting on the OB to come check me.

I'm in labor!! I was a fingertip-1cm at 3 pm, 1-2cm at 6 pm, now I'm 3-4. They're giving me something to help me sleep through the contractions for a little while because I'm still thick and said they think I'll have him between lunch and dinner tomorrow. Now I'm nervous!

He's not too terribly early   I did hope to make it to 38 at least but I'll take 37+3  

It is good I went in I guess lol. I hope I can drive home. They're stronger now than they were. I knew I should have taken that biology test sooner.
