Post-op normal or infection
posted 29th Jan
I had my gallbladder out Monday afternoon and I have no real complaints. The damn thing had me in the hospital for a week and the doctor, who specializes in gallbladder removal and does several each day, said mine was one of the worst he has ever seen. Things are good; I've eaten food for the first time in years without numerous medications and sickness.
The pain is minimal, especially compared to what I was going through. However, I'm a little concerned about the incision near my bellybutton. It's the spot that hurts the most and down below the area where the bandaid is it's red and tender.
Is this normal? Considering that's where they pulled the thing out from I would assume that it would hurt more than the others and all, but because it's red and tender I thought I would ask. Sorry if it seems like a stupid question but I'm extra cautious right now; I can't take another hospital stay.
