Quoting Wonderstruck ♥:" What kind of car do you drive? I plan on using my tax return (about 1200) to buy a new car or put down ... [snip!] ... or put down a down payment for a car. I'd PREFER to just buy a car outright though. We'll have 3 kids in Sept. 2 FF and one RF."

I drive an Excursion! I wouldn't have it any other way.

Suburban, i LOVE it. It is expensive to fix but besides that it's great, has enough room, ours isn't horrible on gas and i just love it lol.

Yeah i have an extremely tight budget and don't make much each paycheck but SO drives a TWO DOOR 91 integra... it barely fits my current two kids LOL.
So I need to get a bigger vehicle.

I have a Toyota Sequoia. I traded in my Expedition for it. Both were great cars and I fit 3 carseats in the middle section easily (even though both cars have a 3rd row and seat 8.

We got a 2005 Ford Explorer XLT. It was a bit pricey 4,500 but it's great and has three rows so the kids can sit comfortably.

Honda Odyssey. I love it and I hate it. It has so many gadgets and keeps messing up but it is very roomy and pretty good on gas. Plus some of the extra features are nice.

Lol, that's exactly what we're doing with our tax return. I currently have a 99 Chrysler 300m and one child FF and two RF. I won't attempt to squeeze the baby carrier in the middle between the older two because I know its not safe and they would probably pester her(the baby) the whole time.

I'm looking for a van or SUV that doesn't guzzle gas. Something with lower miles too, which is rather hard to find in those types of vehicles lol.

A minivan will get better gas mileage than a SUV. I have a 2005 Chrysler town and country. We owe more than it's worth. The dodge caravan is pretty much the same thing. I would recommend at least checking it out.

Mine don't do that. But power lock and unlock with a button on my key is good enough

I like the look of an SUV and would like to trade mine in. But then I like the gas mileage and that we will have it paid off in another two years and have that money in our pocket to spend on other stuff.
