Pirate decorations?

For my nephew's birthday my sister wants me to make the marshmallow pirate faces. That is fine. But I wanted to make a few small cardboard boats that I will fill with floral foam painted brown and stick them in there like they are pirates on a boat. Yes or no?

Also she wants cake pops covered in chocolate made to be "cannon balls". I was thinking a cardboard treasure chest labeled with danger signs and "cannonballs inside". Yes or no?

I like both ideas! I had a pirate theme for my shower and it was super cute. But, we did cupcakes with "waves" and little boats on them. Soooo cute.
