But if he decided that a hypothetical son was getting circumcised no matter what the mother said, he'd be a smurfing smurf and get hanged.

Double standards.

OP- My husband wasn't on board with it either when I first brought it up. I basically outlined the costs associated with CDing, how they would be handled once soiled, and that he wouldn't have to do anything but learn how to diaper her.

After that, he was on board for a trial run. If it worked out, I'd go 100% cloth. It didn't but it would have if we had actually owned a washer and dryer.

I think 1/2 my problem was i double stuffed as well with doopsy bamboo inserts & an MF insert (DS was a REAL heavy wetter, thats why we did cloth in the first place because sposies leaked all the time over night and i got fed up!)

It bulked them up a lot, but im sure i could get away with just an MF insert now for during the day since hes almost 2 and MF during the day for our new bub.. i'll just get DS night time diapers or an XL squishy butt for at night

Oh my gosh... im so tempted to go back to cloth.

DH would kill me hahaha!!

Our new baby has real sensitive skin though and im spending about $180-$200 on special imported japanese disposables every 3 weeks!

Honestly, I just kept going on and on and on about how I wanted to do it. Then a friend brought me over some to try, we've been good since then

Except today.. Silas got a diaper rash and I don't have safe cream yet so I've been using disposables

OP I would write down all the pros to CDing, then have a discussion with him. Its a decision y'all should make together just like every other parenting decision if you want him to be an active participant. I mean if you make all the decisions and leave him with no say I bet you'll get a lot of smart ass replies when you ask for help with the child.

I know aye!

Haha i remember admiring your stash when i was new to CDing.

I remember a few gorgeous/colourful girly ones - one with hearts and one striped one.

They weren't alvas though, i think fitteds.

Urghh i think i might re-join the CDing thread  ... DH is seriously not going to be happy hahahaha!!

I remember them too   They were Goodmama fitteds   And my kids were too big for them haha. She outgrew them in like 2 months.
We use exclusively pockets now.

DH didn't want to, either. I told him that I didn't care and that *I* was doing it. He could have his little stash of disposables if he wanted. Not like he changes that many diapers anyway since he's hardly ever here.   We had one pack of newborn diapers...38 or 48 something like that. When we ran out, I told him to pick some up at the store. He never did. He said it wasn't all that bad like he imagined. We have our happy medium with it. He prefers velcro diapers. I like snaps.
