heavy bleeding after stillbirth

posted 29th Jan
I lost my baby at 20 weeks due to incompetent cervix exactly one month ago (Dec 29). He was born naturally and I didn't need a D&C. I bled for a few days and then it stopped. Now I've been bleeding heavily for about 9 days and it doesn't seem to stop or slow down. Is it normal at this time? Could it be the normal postpartum bleeding, my period again? Or is it something I should worry about? I've been trying to reach my OB but she's not answering.

I would say probably your period. They can be terrible after stillbirth or miscarriage.

Its sounds like a period to me but I would still get it checked out just to be on the safe side.

I would definitely go get checked...just go in. You don't want to be losing all that blood, plus there might be something else going on from birthing him.

Finally got to talk to the OB. She said it's the period coming back. I believe its too early but she said not to worry. I just have to keep an eye on the hemoglobin. Thanks everyone for your responses.
