4cm/50 effaced and was told.....

To go home and walk and drinks lots and lots of fluid. Do anyone know why she wants me to drinks lots of fluid? Just wondering because I forgot to ask. Thanks

if you arent in active labor having contractions thats why they sent you home, if you are having contractions.. they want you to drink water to make sure its not dehydration causing random contractions. so drink water and monitor it and then go back in if it gets any worse. are you in pain?

Drinking too much water during labour can lead to vomitting and hyponatraemia. It is good for you to drink enough and empty your bladder though. Just the squatted position of getting up and down is very good for you during labour, but there are other ways to achieve that than having to pee lol. She may have suggested it if they expect you back in hospital to be kept in bed and refused to eat or drink as they often do  

Eat and drink as normal and keep moving/active if you don't need to rest or if it's too painful to rest. Being active helps labour to progress and reduce pain.

I did not go into L&D. I went to my regular check up today, and she checked my cervix, and told me i was 4cm and 50% effaced.. I have been having BH for a while now (about a month), and they are starting to get more intense. I had about 8 BH while sitting in the waiting room to be called back at my appointment today. They are getting intense, but not a pattern yet.

Sounds like me. Lol...
I have my check tomorrow. Just stay hydrated. It'll rule out BH. And it's just a good idea during pregnancy.

that explains it.. yeah my dr says she has women walking around at a 5 their just not in labor yet lol
