For what reason would YOU call CPS?

Just curious. What do you think is a valid enough reason to call CPS on someone?

If I saw something that made me really uncomfortable

If a child is being neglected or abused... What else would someone call for? lol

Severe emotional abuse, significant physical abuse

Abuse (marks on the kid), neglect.. that about covers it I think.

Abuse or neglect.

If i knew a child was suffering or would suffer without intervention, but i would have to be sure, Here in the UK families can be shattered for no real reason and good families too   That said i couldnt stand by and see a child suffer knowing i could do something

Neglect, verbal/physical abuse.

Well, I've heard of people calling because they "heard" that the parent spanked, or that they thought the parent used marijuana....etc. Sometimes I see people say on here, "That isn't a good enough reason to call, you're wasting their time." So, I'm just curious.

abuse, neglect, poor living conditions that could potentially harm the child

My neighbor's kids were constantly wandering outside. Four of them. Ages 5 to 2. They were dirty, sometimes without clothes, and had no supervision. They would constantly come over to my house and the little one started drinking out of my kiddie pool because "she was thirsty." They would tell me horrible stories about their mom and dad fighting. Eventually, their dad got shot and killed by cops. I called CPS but they moved away like a week later. I feel so bad for those kids.

I would only call over physical abuse (not spanking) or serious neglect, like not feeding or never bathing them. It would have to be something very serious for me to consider calling, not just a bad moment.

If I knew the parents were using hard drugs on a regular basis, or around their kids, if I knew the kids were being neglected..... Basically any situation where I felt the kids would be safer in foster care or with a family member than they are at home

Neglect, physical/sexual abuse.
And drug use if it were affect ting parenting or if the drugs were strewn about.

Someone threatened to call CPS on me because I didn't bathe my 3 month old every night.  

I only would for abuse or neglect.
