Cough meds & children's advil

Anyone know if it's safe to give liquid Delsym cough meds w/ liquid Children's Advil? My son has had a fever that started on Sunday morning & also has a bit of a cough w/ it now. I called the pediatrician but they won't give me any info over the phone on what I can safely give him, I understand this but also don't want to have to waste the money bringing him in just to be told it's safe to give the 2 meds together or not.

Not at the same time. A few hours apart would be ok though. When my toddler had a bad cough I was told I could give him the cough medicine and if he had a fever then two hours later give a fever reducing medicine(advil, ibuprofen...)

THIS! I forgot to say I found that out at the pharmacy because it was a weekend and my kid's doctor's office was closed.

Ok, thanks. I just gave him some of the Children's Advil 45mins ago so I'll wait until around 4 or 5pm to give the Delsym.
