Good luck! And also familiarize yourself with your state laws on it because I know every state is different. California is one of the stricter states but there are some that have even more regulations. There is a ton of paperwork involved plus record-keeping for each year on attendance and everything else. They have to be 7 byt December 1st I think for them to be registered for school before that is not necessary. We are planning on moving to Nevada and all we have to do is file a notice of intent with the district and that is it, and that is age 7 by a certain date but can't think of what right now.
Age wise to file anything is usually 7 by a certain date(from what I have seen for a few states) so you may want to check that as well
