VCH vs HCH

I'm getting a new tattoo this weekend, and most likely a new piercing as well.
I'm looking to get my "downstairs" done. I already spoke with my piercer, and she told me its quick, generally painless and heals quickly.
I want to know about your experience. If you've got your hood pierced what was it like? Do you have other piercings, and how was it comparably?
I have my ears, labret, navel, and nipples done. I've had people say that if I can get my nips done, this would be a breeze.

I had a vch and I loved it. However I took it out just before I got pregnant with my oldest because I couldn't find a ring or bar that was comfortable when I had pants on. Granted I didn't look very hard either haha! I had one ring that I liked but it opened easily which is why I didn't like it.

I had my nipples and belly button before that and to me it wasn't as bad as getting my nipples pierced.

I know once I am done nursing I am getting all my piercings re-done!

When you still had it in, did you prefer a ring or a bar? I would think with a VCH, a bar would be better suited. I know it would be up to me either way, I'm just looking into all options.
I saw a couple youtube videos of reactions, and I can't say it's deterred me in anyway, cuz it seemed like the girls had nothing else pierced or had children for that matter.
I'm also on tribalectic.com and checked in the forums and people are saying its the best and easiest thing they're ever done.

I got it done in the afternoon and went and marched at band practice 3 hours later. It was a pinch like with my belly piercing and was uncomfortable for a few days but not as bad as my nipples IMO. Just have to have comfortable underwear for the first two or three days depending on how your body reacts to piercings. I had a bar for the initial healing period but I preferred the ring. I just didn't do a lot of shopping around for jewelry to find one that worked for me. I am about 6 months pp right now and breastfeeding so once this baby weans I am going to be getting pierced again and I am looking forward to it.

About how long was your total heal time?
DH is deployed and will be home in a couple months. He knows I'm thinking of doing it, and said to go ahead and get it done for V-Day since there's nothing else he can send me, lol. (he knows I'll eat flowers and all the adult sites are blocked on their computers)

LOL I don't like flowers all that much and have told DH to not bother unless it is in a pot or going to be planted outside our house when we buy one 

Healing time I really don't remember since it was 3 years or so ago now. 3-4 weeks maybe but even after that if I didn't keep something in it, the hole would start to close after a few hours. When I took it out for the last time it was fully closed in about 2 days. I had it for a year.

Couple weeks? Awesome.
I just hope that if I do go this weekend for it, that I won't have to take it out next month when I get my wisdom teeth out. I already asked the office if I'd have to take all my piercings out and they said just my labret and my big gauges, everything else should be fine. I was worried about my nipples closing up if I took them out. But even if I do, I guess I could do retainers in them

Every one is different though I think standard is 6 weeks. I can't say much on getting wisdom teeth out since I still have all mine with no problems. I would think you could put in the PFE (what ever the plastic bars are called) and it would be fine. Not like you are going in for a MRI or CAT scan  I have 9 months or so before I can begin to think about it since I was told I have to wait 3 months after I am done nursing. Blah  But it will be in time for my birthday if this DS is done nursing at a year which is probably likely with all the issues we have had.
