Sex in the 3rd Trimester

At 28 weeks is considered the start of the 3rd trimester right??
My partner is worried about having sex in this last trimester as we have read that sperm can induce early labour.
How safe is sex in the 3rd trimester?? Up until how many weeks is it considered safe?? My partner is considering eliminating sex altogether!!

Help please!!  

It's perfectly safe. Your body won't go into labor till its ready.

You can have sex up until you have the baby. Semen will not induce labor, it will only help the cervix soften. Unless your Doctor says otherwise, have sex all you want  

Semen does not induce labor. It can ripen the cervix. An orgasm (whether from sex on masturbation) can cause contractions but they will not lead to anything unless your body is ready to go into labor. So unless your doctor says no sex, you can keep having it up until you are in active labor.

Its safe up until your water breaks or until your dr says to stop having sex

I've always heard it perfectly safe untill your waters break lol.
me and Dave had sex a couple times a week all the way through my pregnancy and it never baught on labour or any contractions at all. x

Have as much as sex as you want girl there is no danger semen just helps to prepare your cervix it does not speed up labor at all

with my first we had sex up until the day my water broke lol... the only thing is you have to find new positions because your bump gets in the way towards the end XD

sex is fine even in your third trimester. what your partner is thinking is wrong sperm have nothing to do with causing labor it is the hormon that is found in semen that naturaully will soften your cervix but it wont put you into labor if you are not ready. i am almost 35 weeks pregnant and i am still having sex and im not having any problems. i asked my doctor the same thing it is safe as long as you dont go into labor. sex can help you go into labor yes but only if you are far enough along an ready. so tell your partner it is fine to have sex. some woman have sex till the day they deliver it wont hurt you or the baby.
