creating a pattern for a corset?

I have a corset that I purchased from Forever21 a few years ago. Well now it doesn`t fit as well as when I was a teen before kids. However being me I would love to use it as the basis for a pattern so that I can make one that fits me to my dimensions. I tried searching but couldn't find anything to create a pattern from an existing piece. Links or how to articles would be great. I am not an extremely skilled sew-er but I do have my machine and know how to use it. I am on my phone so sorry for any mistakes and TIA

Are you planning on putting any boning in it? I honestly think it'd be better to look up a pattern than try and make one off of another one...

I make my own patterns for everything. I just figure it out and make the pattern on mailing paper usually. Just trace your existing corset and mess around with the pattern.

I have looked at patterns and they seem so complicated to me haha. As for boning I don't know. The one I have has maybe a dozen or so plastic boning pieces in it but I don't know if I want to attempt that with my first one. Since like I said I am not really skilled with sewing since I hardly sew.
