re: Tax Money!

P.s we're not married, so I usually get a good chunk back w/ the EIC. Boyfriends hoping he wont owe, but if he does we'll just pay it out of mine

That is why I am getting so much! Not married and qualifying for the EIC.

I hate doing taxes because i always fear that we're going to owe, even though there's no reason why we would lol.

I have no clue how he almost owes every year, Even without the EIC I'd probably get a grand or two back ?! I honestly don't know how the whole tax thing works though

I'm excited this year to see how much will we get back with SO claiming our son plus me of course. First year he has had to claim a kid.  

YES i cant wait i am getting 8000 back but yes i would rather make more money!!! but it's fun to brag like a five year old on this site..

It is always exciting to figure out how much you will get lol. I just feel so relieved about bills this time of year..it is nice!

OMG yes! I feel "ghetto rich" for a month or so until its all gone! haha! DH and I get a pretty good amount back every year between the 2 of us. I have my 2 boys plus he gets to claim his daughter so thats 3 kids for EIC and we are due in 3 weeks with another baby so when we file next year it'll be 4 kids, which will be NICE. Although I heard their changing the credit from $1000/kid down to $500/kid but oh well.

We have already had a spreadsheet of all the stuff we are getting/using our money on for months now. We get so behind on bills during the winter because DH is laid off from December - March every year because he works construction. So we catch up on all bills thats over a grand there alone, we have a few last minute baby things to buy, Get the kids and us some new clothes, definitely a huge Sams Club grocery haul, we are buying a new deep freezer since ours went out and every year at tax time we buy a side of beef which is a lot of money but its a TON of meat and it breaks down to almost less then a dollar a pound and lasts us almost all year, a few little extras for us all of course and pre praying rent and car payments for the next couple months because I will be out on maternity leave as of February 15th. I already filed my taxes weeks ago so hopefully they get approved tomorrow nice and early and we get them, HOPEFULLY before baby arrives because I'd love to go out and buy the last minute baby stuff with my DH and not have to send him alone!

That would be awesome!! How much does it cost to buy that much meat? I was wanting to do this too!! But we would also have to buy a deep freezer for it lol.
