I see people talking about this periodically and it seems silly to me and a waste of time. Just use cloth wipes. You can make them for nothing out of old receiving blankets or you can buy a yard or two of cheap flannel and make them for very cheap. Or you can buy cloth wipes and they're still super cheap comparatively.

I just use a paper towel with water.
Only because my friend made something similar to what you wrote and my daughter broke out terribly.

I think paper wipes making at home is a waste of time. When you can buy sensitive baby wipes for all ingedients cheaper.

We use cloth wipes, with wipe solution though.

We use the oil solution.

Which is a dab of baby soap.
Olive Oil
Tea Tree Oil
& Jojoba Oil

We add the jojoba oil, but it's worth it. He's never broken out in any kind of rash since he was born.

Yeah I definitely wouldn't use all that soap and junk. Even if it's not irritating it is still super drying. I use cloth wipes and I keep a spray bottle of water and a bit of TTO with them. I spray the cloth wipes to dampen them as needed. It's super simple.

Instead of using chemicals, a cup of chamomile tea and maybe a drop or 2 of an antibacterial oil would be better - like what you use with cloth wipes.

See water never works for us for very long. I can use it for maybe a day, but then I have to give him a bath or make my oil wipe solution again because his butt will still smell like pee.

I wouldn't go to all that work to make a wipe when I can use any sink and just a bit of water. Much easier.

I don't really care for the concoction of different soaps on the handmade ones. Water works just as well.

I've never thought of using chamomile tea for a wipe solution! What a great idea! Chamomile is such a good skin soother, thanks!

Although, there's nothing wrong with the handmade wipes if it's what you prefer.

I actually used to do that but I found the spray bottle technique to be a little easier! I keep dipes and wipes in DD's room so it's nice to have it all right there and not have to go to a sink. Plus sometimes I'll need more wipes than I had thought I would lol so I can just spray another right there.

I know what you're saying. Sometimes I do a coconut oil solution too but I give my kids a bath every day anyway so it's not a big deal. It's pretty uncrunchy of us but they love baths haha.

It's a good idea. We have enough spray bottles here for our plants.

I realized after I type that, the he likes to soak in the bath practically every day. And their bath days are Sun, Mon, Wed, and Fri. So I guess that's why it doesn't really matter. LOL
