Everyone keeps telling me my child is huge.

Okay, so my son was born at 36+2 at 8lbs 4oz. He will be 8 weeks old this upcoming Friday and weighs just shy of 13 lbs. He wears 6-9 month clothing and size 2 diapers. I really don't think he's fat.

Of course. Every baby is different . Yes 8lbs is big for a 36 weeker but that doesnt mean he isnt healthy. Maybe your due date was off or maybe he is just a bigger baby nothing to worry about.

He looks normal to me...doesn't look like he'd wear 6-9 though. Crazy.

Its a pretry good size baby for being early but for being 13# at 8 weeks, that doesnt seem like he should be considered a big baby.

DS fit into 6-9 when he was about 16lbs at 4 months. He was on the bigger side too.

OP he looks healthy. Babies are all different sizes.

better then everyone saying you kid is small and tiny for her age   yea my kid is small get over it.

and my nephew is 5 months and 22 pounds size 9-12 month clothes ... i wouldn't worry about it your son looks healthy and at a good weight  

Clothing sizes fluctuate. Some 6-9 month clothes run small. 13 lbs isn't huge. He looks fine.

Maybe your due date was off? He's a cutie though  

Silas was 8lbs 5oz at 39 weeks [when he was born.] and he weighs 11lbs 8oz now, he's almost 7 weeks, in size 1 diapers and wearing 3-6mo clothes. He still fits into some of his newborn clothes, but I switched to cloth diapers so his diaper doesn't fit into alot of his newborn stuff. All babies are different though.

he looks fine and healthy to me! And ya def doesnt seem like hes in that big of clothing from the pics. my daughter wasnt in 9 month clothing till she was over a year lol

I heard this with my first. He was preemie and very small up until he turned 3. "Is there something wrong with him?" Um, no. My second is big for his age and everyone is like wow he's so big, maybe you shouldn't feed him so much. You can't win lol.

lol nope ...my kid was only 6 pounds when born (it's an okay size) but she is tall and she's 14 months and only weighs like 17-18 pounds but also cause she's tall she looks so skinny but she has an even amount of fat on her ugh w/e

I could care less what everyone else thinks Im gonna feed him when he wants to eat. They will start thinning out when they start moving

The OB said that since I had an ultrasound at 5 weeks, there was no way the date was off and that he was just big and came early because he was out of room to grow.

He used to scream because he was so hungry and we'd feed him more and he's get a belly ache because what we were giving him (formula and breast milk) wasn't...satisfying? So we started adding rice cereal to a few bottles and it really seemed to help. Yes, we know the risks, allergies, dehydration, and constipation, but he goes regularly and his stools are normal.

He's in 6-9 month clothing because he has long legs and in anything smaller his legs are too cramped. I know carter's tends to run small up 6 months.

That's exactly how I feel! If he didn't need shots, I wouldn't even take him to the pediatrician. Maybe that's because I don't like my pediatrician, but I can't seem to find anywhere else.

He looks healthy to me! I get the same crap too though (just the opposite). My son is 7 months only and only 14 pounds so i get the "he's so tiny, yet sooo tall" "you need to get some meat on his bones" "do you feed him enough" la la la. Take it with a grain of salt. You are doing just fine, momma (:
