Just swelling, or worse?
posted 29th Jan
Second pregnancy, and 38.4 weeks along. I went to the Dr. yesterday, and had very mild swelling in ny hands and feet. No protein, that I was informed of, and my BP was at 114/70. The bottom number is usually between 60-68 but, no one signed alarmed.
Today, the swelling is a bit worse. Certainly not terrible, but I can actually feel the poofiness in my ankles, toes, fingers, and lips.
My engagement ring is leaving an indent, so are my sandals. I've drank about a liter of water and tried elevating my feet, and walking, but nothing.
My dr. office doesn't take calls at lunch. So, does this sound okay?

Its worth getting checked over but if its really hot where you are then it could just be that

Go to a pharmacy and check you bp. Although, it wasn't high yesterday so I wouldn't be too concerned.

Your bp sounds great and swelling is normal. Just keep an eye on it since pre e can creep on you in a blink of an eye. If you start feeling even a little bit off such as your headache is a little bit worse or your swelling is rapidly increased you should definitely call your dr.

I do live in terribly hot weather... 80 degrees in winter lol. Fl sucks.
I'll definitely check it soon as I can.

Thank you. I'm definitely keeping an eye on it. It's been pretty consultant but other than my stuffy nose from a cold and swelling, I feel fine.
I do psyche myself out with this stuff though. But, I say better safe than sorry. I'm still going to call dr when their lunch break is fiiiiinally over.
