I agree. I think that stereotypes originated from actual actions or scenarios. Like black ppl and Kool Aid. Well smurf if you go into their house I almost GUARANTEE there's some grape Kool Aid up in there LOL I know there is at my house!! But I think a lot are just funny.

BUT, I don't think that gives anyone the right to play into it. A lot of people love bringing up stereotypes of other groups, but hate it when it is done to them. A person should be given the chance to prove themselves as an individual. If at that point, they fit the stereotype, well...

I disagree. Stereotypes are self fulfilling prophecies, IMO. If a white guy listens to hip hop and likes chicken and speaks with a lot of slang, people will say he's "acting black" even if he's just being himself....people don't act a certain way based on the their race, maybe their religion....
