Paragard Problems?

I got paragard put in this past Friday and last night I was pretty tired and sick- throwing up and what not and now today I have the worst metallic taste in my mouth. I don't know if being sick is related because there has been a stomach bug going around but it's strange timing. Anyway, I've tried rinsing out my mouth with mouthwash but its not going away. I feel like I literally have a roll of pennies in my mouth. Has anyone experienced this? Did it go away or did you get the paragard removed?

I got mine in 2 weeks ago, almost. I didn't have a bad taste, but I did feel a little under the weather. My main problem is the extreme and heavy bleeding.

I have had it for almost 5 years, never had bad taste in my mouth.

I've had mine for 3 months. I haven't experienced this, nor have I read anything about this as a side effect. And I researched it a lot before getting it and didn't see this anywhere. It's probably something else.

I've had mine for over a year and I didn't have that happen to me.

Thanks for the input, I'm glad it works for other people- I guess it's just not for me so I'm getting it taken out tomorrow.

If that's what you want to do. IMO, I strongly suggest giving it a bit longer. I didn't like mine the first 3 weeks but the past 3 months has been great now. But do what you gotta do
