I just want to throw them all away....

all my kids medicine. She takes topamax, and ethosuxamide and lamictal for seizures..

she still has 30 or more a day. it doesnt smurfign help. SHe looks awful with dark bags under eyes and a pale face and gray lips. SHe hardly eats.. just wants cereal and pizza with ranch.

I just want to wean her off myself and throw it away, and stop poisoning her.. ALl those meds she takes are messing with her brain so bad. She is gonna end up growing up and having all these "issues" and im gonna have to blame them on the pharmaceuitcals. I just dont want people thinking im neglecting my kid by not giving her meds.

ive been told she will grow out of her seizures for years... until meds never worked they thought maybe something else was up and we did genetic testing and found out she has a gene deletion on her chromosome 7.. so deep down I know thats whats causing it, and that meds probably wont help, since it just her...its how she is, how she was born. she has been very slow deveolping her whole life. idk.. im just over meds..

im over pharmaceuticals and them only worrying about money. you know a cure for cancer has been found recently? in canada.. an old drug, taht costs pennies literally.. and no one will fund it because they wont make a profit of it.. so smurfing disgusting. its all about money. they really dont care about your health.

I'd talk to your doctor about taking her off of the medicine first. I'm sorry the meds aren't helping your daughter though. Poor babe.

I know it's so sad that something could help tons of people and no one cares unless they make money  

Conspiracy theories and whatnot aside, if you really, TRULY don't think the meds are helping her, talk to her doctor. Then talk to another doctor. Ask about alternatives, tell them how you feel.

She's your child and you know what's best. But make sure taking her off of the meds would be for the right reasons.

this isnt a conspiracy... its smurfing FACT about the phramacueitical.. they dont care, my daughter has had seizures every day of her life and has been on about 10 different meds and none workd.. NO they dont smurfing work and I know for a smurfing fact. My daughter was overdoese by her DOCTOR because he just said of the meds are working.. lets up them... without doing any testing.. im over it.. 5 years of dealing with stupid smurfing doctors that tell me im lying about how many seizures my kiids is smurfing having..

as a teenager i wouldnt even take my abilify because of how awful i felt taking it, i cant imagine what im doing to my poor baby.

Can you see a homeopathic doc maybe? I think that would be your best start.  

im sorry sweetie ::hugs:: maybe talk to the doctor about safely weaning her off and try accupuncture or a dietary change? i know that eating clean really helps.

Why would she do it for the hell of it? Don't you think she goes through enough seeing her daughter like this every day? You think that is enjoyable? You realize for me to get a prescription of Zoloft for a month it costs over 100 dollars for just a month, yet I can go get the generic for barely anything?

I know you're upset because your daughter is still having seizures even on medicine, but chill out on the smurfing's. Mayhem didn't do anything.

i have been looing into essential oils... when i brought it up to the nuero she giggled and said only medicine works. idk....

Conspiracy theory. Yes. Some medicines work. Do the pharmaceutical companies want money? Yes. But they also provide medications that help a lot of people. If they didn't, people would save money and trouble and refuse all medication.

As for tthe cancer cure in Canada, have you looked further into it? Because if you do, you'll find it's not as simple as it seems. Don't just listen to everything you hear.

not that i dont think medications are grossly overpriced. but the name brand drugs are more expensive because they are paying for the research behind the drug. after the patent wears off, which is i believe 7 years, it is then available to become a generic, which does not have the overhead cost of the research backing i.t

$100 for Zoloft? Get the generic, for real. It cost like $8.  

The only issue is w/o meds her seizures will likely be very life threatening. John travolta is a case in point, his religion does not believe in pharmaceuticals and his son had seizures caused by kawasakis disease of possibly autism. He died very prematurely. Those with untreated epilepsy have a very short life expectancy.

Yeaaaa I hate doctors that are like that. It is bull smurf. Seriously I would see if there are any homeopathic docs in your area (Probably would have to be a pretty nice size radius, but I would see what you could find.
