Blood

I'm 11 weeks pregnant. Last night I threw up and there were about 5 "pieces" of blood about the size of a penny in it. I blew my nose and had some blood in it. Do you think it just drained into my stomach and I vomited it up or would you be concerned? Its red not brown.

I had lots of nose bleeds at the beginning of all my pregnancies. My nose would bleed while I was sleeping, and I would wake up with this horrible bloody phlegm in my throat. The taste of the blood made me throw up often, and sometimes there was blood in my vomit. The nose bleeds went away sometime around 16 weeks, though I still get a very dry nose and if I rub it hard it will bleed (I'm 27 weeks).

I would suggest waiting to see what happens. If you have no sign of a nose bleed, but vomit again with red blood, definitely at least call your doc.
