Aw

What type of crib did you buy? I loved DD's crib, it was cute. Too bad she hated it. lol

I see. Well like the other poster said, if you get the washable ones you can get by with just 2 or 3 sets for before and after delivery, once you're Breastfeeding. Which I highly recommend btw, it's great for you and baby and it's FREE! Lol

It was a Delta Bentley convertible crib from target  It said it should deliver in a couple days so we'll see how it looks when it gets here. Just to throw this out there I can afford my daughters diapers, my mom will help but for little things like this I don't like her helping. I want her helping as little as possible its not her responsibility to help. I have a job and I get fairly good money because I get to keep 100% of tips. If I can make the money to buy the things I need for her and I even if it means saving up I will buy them. The only time I will ever ask my mom for help is if I really need it. The reason I asked this question is because I wanted to save up for Gabriella and not buy things for me. I was seeing if there was a cheaper way to stop this without buying something. I can afford stuff but I'd rather get stuff for her than get anything for me. Not trying o be rude I'm just saying. And yes I plan to breastfeed.

As you buy things here and there for your daughter, you should also stock up on things like maxi pads and breat pads (if your going to use disposable) so you have them when you need them

Agreed. Wanting to put all your resources into your daughter is admirable and understandable but there will be things that YOU NEED too and if you dont take care of yourself it becomes really difficult to take care of someone else and it can breed resentment.
You shouldn't feel guilty for buying yourself something you NEED like breastpads. You're a person in your own right not just a mommy to be and that is an important lesson to teach your daughter as well.

If you or your Mom can sew try a google search for cloth breast pad patterns. I know of a few websites with free patterns, PM me if you want them.

Definitely stock up on pads and maternity towels but in the meantime you can cut up an old towel and sew it into reusable breastpads then hey justgo into the wash face flannels work well too, I used to use a towel cut up like this then a round cotton wool pad on top for comfort HTH xx

Thank you for that idea  I think I'll try out a couple ideas I've been given and see which one works best/ which ones most comfortable.

I honestly think it's no body business what you can and cannot afford. Kaylee you don't have to explain anything to anyone about something like money. You're doing so damn good already. I know I'm not a mom, but if someone asked a question along the lines of "can you even afford diapers" I would be pissed.

I agree with this!!
I've been leaking since 17 weeks, a lot, usually at night as-well so it makes it difficult to sleep with a bra on to put breast pads in
