Morning...Night...ALL DAY sickness!!! What's the deal?

posted 29th Jan
With my 5 and 1 year old daughters I never had morning sickness. Now I have morning, night, ALL DAY sickness. What is up with that? I sip on Sprite all day and that settles my stomach down a lil. However, even if I just THINK of eating then I get sick. I have actually puked twice. What can I do to help settle my stomach? I will be 7 weeks tomorrow.

Try eating crackers or drinking gingerale before you ever get out of bed.

I was sick the whole 9 months with DD. The only thing that helped was lying on my side and not letting myself get hungry (even though the idea of food was awful).

Hopefully it'll pass for you in a few weeks!

You can take a half of one of the sleeping pills called unisom along with a B-6 and you will feel much better

Eat protein.. it helps. Also, check around for Preggy Pops, or suck on some sour candy. (jolly ranchers worked for me) Sometimes, you just have to find something that agrees with you, until you can manage to keep more down. Good luck!

It is hard for me to just lay in bed for even a few minutes after my alarm goes off. It goes off at 6:30 a.m in order to wake my oldest daughter up for school. I start sipping on Sprite at that time just to get my oldest daughter off to school. I am hoping it will only last the 1st trimester. Thanks for all the help ladies.

I attempt to eat every few hours in order for baby to get what it needs.

Been there! With DD1 I can not even express how horrible my 'morning' sickness was. I would wake up in the morning gagging and throwing up stomach acid and it would last all day. I literally had a hard time even holding down a sip of water. I lost 15 lbs the first 4 months, and that was starting out at 130, so I really didn't need to lose any weight. I could not hold down anything. Nothing at all. It was so horrible and scary, I thought for sure I was going to miscarry my first baby. Praise Jesus, I didn't! The sickness subsided at 5 months along and I gained weight from there.

Sour stuff helps? Wow, I never knew that. I was gonna ask my OB when I see her in three weeks. But I think I will try that.

Then with my last 2, I have had minimal to no sickness whatsoever.

could this indicate a boy since I did not have this with my girls? Just wondering.

No. I've had 2 girls and 1 boy, I only had morning sickness with DD1. Just goes to show how every pregnancy IS really different. That is just an old wives tale about predicting gender. I had zero morning sickness with my boy.

Oh ok. I was just wondering. I just hope this morning sickness goes away. I don't know how much more I can handle, but I will endure for the baby's sake.

Mine was the same way. I couldn't even see a fast food sign without puking. It lasted for about 5 months before it finally went away. I was so moserable
