Going potty by themselves

Is it wrong to send a 4 year old to the potty by themselves? DH acts like I still have to accompany my 4 year old to the bathroom every single time she has to go. I think it's silly and he is getting on my nerves and says I'm lazy if I tell her to go. She is fully capable of getting her own toilet paper, wiping her pee pee correctly, and flushing by herself. The only time I feel it's necessary to go with her is if she has poo poo, she's not to the point of wiping her butt just yet. Do you send your 4 year old to the potty alone?
Also, from the couch, I have a clear view of her on the potty down the hall. I can see her the whole time. And I'm not 'lazy', I just don't see why it's necessary to baby her when she is getting old enough to begin doing things herself.

Most of the time my 4 year old goes potty by himself. I also send my 2 year old to the potty by herself then just go in and make sure she wipes correctly and washes her hands.

I haven't helped Cora in the bathroom in a year (she is 4)

If she can do it by herself, then let her do it

If he wants her to be supervised, tell him to get off his ass and escort her

I send my 3 1/2 year old to pee by himself. He wants me to sit with him while he poops, and I need to wipe his butt.

LOL. I'm hoping I can show him this thread when he gets home so I can prove he overreacting.

Pfft, Charlee is 3 and has been going potty alone since she was 2.

We started potty training our LO a month after he turned 3 (3 months ago) and if he just has to pee, he goes all by himself. He can't pull his pants up yet so he'll usually waddle out to me to pull them up. We do help him if he has to poop though, we haven't even started showing him how to wipe yet.

Yeah, I'm still wiping the butt too. About to work on that soon so she can start preschool next fall.

Yasmine is 4.5 and it has been a long time since she needed help. She wipes when she goes poop too. But for poop she has her own wipes to use since that is easier for her than toilet paper..

ETA: I have problems wiping her butt with toilet paper too cuz it never seems clean enough

Oh okay, so that makes sense about the preschool. DS turns 4 in April and hopefully will be ready to go in the fall. I will go nuts if I have to stay home with him for another year lol.

Lol. Yeah, if DD1 doesn't go, I will have 3 running around next fall driving me crazy. The preschool here is only 3 hours a day, and I think it will be very good for her socially. We have NO friends with kids so the only time she interacts with other kids is at the park. I'm excited for her to make real friends, she is so friendly and not shy at all. She is going to love it!

Same with DS. He loves playing with other kids but there are none his age around here except my neighbor's kid who's a year older. He loves her lol.
