do you think...

that kids who are bullied and commit suicide, should recieve justice by charging the kids who bullied them? obviously if there was a couple specific people or just 1. you cant charge a whole school, but Im just wondering what you think about that?
or should no one have to pay for the consiquences of some one else and their mental instability?

What would you charge them with?

I think the parents of the child doing the bullying should shoulder some of the blame. As a parent I feel it is our responsibility to teach our children that bullying other children is unacceptable. I'd be furious is my daughter ever started bullying another child.

They should receive some type of punishment. But I don't think they should have their entire youth ripped away from them.

Yes. But it's hard to charge someone without a victim to testify.
You can say they committed suicide for X reason, but that's hard to prove.
I think there needs to be something done with the overpowering Internet bullying people do. It's absurd that someone can take a poor kids naked picture and make sure the whole school sees if in 5 seconds. It's sad that someone can make fake accounts for someone and harass then day in and day out online, and nothing happens.
If police stepped in when it was happening, I doubt there would be nearly as many victims.

I think that bullying is a form of harassment, and sometimes it escalates to physical assault, so yes, I think they should be charged. Whether the victim of the bullying takes their own life or not.
I don't think they should be charged with like, murder or something ridiculous. Just with what they're guilty of. Assault, or harassment, etc.

Idk honestly... maybe threats? or something even wrose? like involuntary manslaughter? its obvious they didnt KILL them, so not murder... but when you keep beating someone down, someone can only take so much ya know. its a thin line though, i really dont know what they could or would be charged with.
just sad that 11 year old girl killed herself because of bullying . at 11 i dont quite think you grasp life.

There are laws against abuse and acts against bullying.
I think everyone is responsible for their own emotions but there needs to be far more awareness and teaching around this, it's not fair on the majority of people who are not raised in a completely nonviolent manner and who are not used to peaceful conflict resolution to be suddenly blamed for their own suicide or behaviours. Kids are raised with control and bullying behaviours as the norm, it's modelling poor emotional intelligence and social skills right from the get go. Parents need to start by looking at what they are modelling to their children, it's no wonder so many of them feel powerless, resentment and anger and sadness and then go and take it out on other children. So i think educating people (parents and their kids) is the place to start, not just punishing for the after effects.

I think depending on age their parents should be somewhat responsible. But bullying happens everywhere you can't charge everyone that bullies we'd all be in jail almost lol

Where I live, police so step in when online bullying becomes a serious issue.. as long as the parents of the child report it. It's fabulous.

Parents should in no way be held responsible.
I see plenty if good parents with horrendous children, through no fault of their own.

And I bet it'd discourage at least SOME from continuing to bully.

It depends on the level of it. Most bullying that results in suicide is more than just verbal.
If there were physical altercations then Id say charge the bully with assault but if its just verbal? No, kids need to learn to be stronger than words.

It's tricky. Unless they're sending threats with intent and means, and include the name of a specific victim, there's almost nothing that can be done.
