Gestational diabetes in previous pregnancy

If you had GD in a previous pregnancy, at what point did they test you in your following pregnancies? A friend told me they would test her in first tri.

I had it with my first. With my second they tested me at 17 weeks and 27 weeks, I passed both times. With my third they only check once at the normal time and I passed that time also.

I get hyperemesis and I'm nervous they'll wanna test me before 20weeks and not be able to hold down the nasty drink. I can barely stomach it at 28w

I got so sick with that stuff when I was preggo with my first. I wanted to throw-up, my head was spinning, I was sweating like crazy. I felt so bad I had to call my mom to take me home. It was horrible. With my second and third I had much better experiences. I knew I was going to pass with those because I only felt a little queasy from the drink. Just make sure they have orange. I think it is was easier to stomach then the red.

With my first I felt that way too. I told them I felt like I had to throw up but they said I'd have to do it again some other time. So I made sure I just waited it out. And passed. I had GD with my second and felt the same way. The 3hr test was even worse.
But that's funny you say that. Cause all I've had is orange and I think it's disgusting!
