Quoting Moses.:" Finding a dr who would listen was my problem. I started having problems almost 2 months after my son ... [snip!] ... I try really hard not to complain, but it's hard when your feet are so stiff and swollen you can't even walk to the bathroom."
Lol, I completely understand everything you just said. I too started thinking it was in my head because I look fine and I'm young, every time I saw a Dr. they pretty much dismissed anything because Im young. Sometimes it feels like they dont listen. For example (and Im making this very short) in 2008 I was told I had kidney stones, I dealt with that for years. In 2011 after I had my son I was a week pp when I started having this really bad pain in my side. I went to the hospital and I told them "I have kidney stones I dont know if Im passing one right now" the Dr. didnt bother checking me for anything and his diagnosis was "Well you just had a baby, its normal to be in pain, go home and rest" Even though I was in a lot of pain, and ended up soaking my jeans in blood all the way down my leg. I came home, and what do you know a stone came out. He really made me feel stupid at the time, especially when I came home and told everyone what he told me.
Yeah most people dont mean any harm, but it really IRRITATES me. Maybe because I dont really tell strangers, if I do its very vague so they usually never say anything, its more so people I know. I wear a hand brace from time to time when it gets pretty bad, and occasionally post something on FB at 3 in the morning because I cant sleep, usually like oh my hand/knee/etc. is killing me, I feel like chopping it off. Same girl who previously told me oh its nothing. She had her Dr test her for lupus and it came back negative for that and arthritis so I dont know. Im not saying she doesnt have anything I just find it odd.
