Am I in real labor? Advice please.

Ok so went to doctors today they said I'm 2-3 cm dilated, nurse swept my membranes and said baby's head is right there, she could feel it. After my appt I had cramping in my pelvis, hips and back and I started having contractions around 11:30 pm it's now 1:20 am and they're about 10-20 min apart. I also lost my bloody show at around 12:00. But my contraction last like 5-10 min and ill get sharp pains every so often during that time period. I think they're referred to as rolling contractions, like it lasts a while but comes in waves of pain. I'm so scared of ending Up being the person who doesn't know they're in labor and ends up having their baby at home. Should I try and get some sleep or call my doctor because I'm afraid of waking up in a panic because I'm like about to deliver.

They usually tell you to wait until they are 5-10 min apart but if you are concerned I would eat something then go in.

Maybe try to take a bath, eat something and see how you feel?

If you're worried, go in.
But being the person who has her baby at home isn't so bad

Wait a little bit until there is only a 5 min approx break in between the contractions. How far do you live from the hospital?

I feel like its hard for me to time my contractions correctly because there's sometimes a constant pressure feeling and sometimes my stomach gets hard, other times it doesn't. It's so confusing

A contraction would be when your stomach gets hard.

But sometimes when it's hard, I don't really feel the sharp pains

I had constant over laping contractions when I was in labor with my daughter my belly would only get hard for a few mins then let up but I was still having contractions...try taking a warm bath or call L&D and explain whats going on and see what they say

Do you have a SO or bf living with you? If so make him time them. It's a lot easier for someone else to time them. You just tell him when it starts hurting. I waiting at home until they were 2-7 mins apart and then I went in at 9pm. I didn't have LO until 6:54am. When it's your first you tend to labor longer.

If I do go to sleep, is it possible that ill wake up and have to deliver like that minute?

Highly unlikely.

Ok, yeah he but he has to be up early for work so I told him to go to sleep since I have no idea if ill be going into labor. And I hope that's true, and it does take a while
