butt rash?

I just noticed red splotches on DDs butt. It doesn't look or feel like a rash. It looks and feels like whelps. I haven't changed diaper brands but i did go from huggies little movers to huggies snug n dry. She is in the middle of trying different baby foods..had apples for the first time today. But if it was an allergic reaction to food i would think the rash would be everywhere not just butt. im going to call a nurse tomorrow but in the mean time what can i do? She doesn't seem to be n pain but it looks bad and painful. What should i put on it? i was skeptical about rash cream...

Put desitin on it.

Could be a yeast diaper rash. I would put diaper rash cream on it and call her dr in the morning.

it could be from the change in diapers. my oldest could only use pampers cruisers. even the pampers baby dry gave him a bad rash as well as every other brand until he was about 18 months old.

is a yeast diaper rash worse then a regular diaper rash? first time mom here...she has her 6 month doc appointment Wednesday but i dont want to wait an xtra day

It might also be teething, my little boy always gets nappy rash when teething, only a bit and never when he isn't teething! x

he's probably teething then, nappy rash is normal when teething x
