How do I talk to my friend about this?

I have a really good friend who I care about alot and she is always having unprotected sex with guys she has just met 4-5 guys a month. Now I dont have a problem with the amount of guys she is sleeping with, its not my place to judge her, but I am worried about the fact that she brags about never using condoms or being on birth control and not getting pregnant. This all came up when I mentoned that I was on BC and using condoms when I got pregnant and she said something along the lines of "Wow thats so crazy! I havent ever been on birth control and ive only used condoms like twice and I havent gotten pregnant." Im worried she will end up pregnant or with STDs especially since we live in an area with one of the highest amount of aids/hiv positive people per capita in canada. I have tried mentioning that to her and she just says "well I havent gotten an STD yet and I havent gotten pregnant so what are the chances I will?" Thats when I drop the discussion because I dont know a nice way of asking "HOW STUPID CAN YOU BE?!!!" but once I did ask how she knew she didnt have an STD and she said that she hasnt had a test but she knows because she hasnt had any symptoms. Is there any way I can bring it up to her with out causing an argument or should I just be blunt about it and tell her how stupid she is being?

You can't fix stupid. It's not even worth the effort.

No matter how you say it she's going to be pissed at you for butting into her sex life.

Her sex life is her business.

I'd be blunt and tell her how stupid she's being. Some STIs takes months, even years to start showing symptoms. Lets pray to god she'll get checked out, then get n some sort of birth control so she can't pass that gene on.

I would be pretty blunt at this point. I don't do so well with people that are so stupid about stds. The pregnancy thing doesn't bother me as much as the fact that she could have an std but she wouldn't know it and is casually spreading it all around.

She's either going to wind up pregnant or with an STD before she realizes "oh whoops! Shoulda used protection". Like others have said, you cannot fix stupid :/

I'm all for people being responsible for their own naughty bits. it's her business.

I wouldn't even try, honestly. Sounds like she knows what the hell she's doing, she just doesn't care. That's her problem.

If she's really having that much unprotected sex, she probably does have a STD without any symptoms.

I would tell get, once, bluntly, how unbearably stupid she is...and then drop it.

You should convince her to go get checked out at least. I stopped getting checked because I hadn't ever had an sti and I was in what I thought was a committed relationship so we didn't always use condoms. Well the smurf was cheating on me because when I went for my physical my pap smear came back saying I had chlamydia. I had NO symptoms but I was mortified. Thankfully all I had to do was take 4 little pills and all better. But you can NEVER be too careful. Doesn't matter how many people she sleeps with, that's her prerogative, but you can never be too careful!!

This, I just hope she doesnt smurf up her ability to concieve when she is a grown up   pregnancy is a positive STI.
