WTF? Cant seem to catch a break. Help!

Ds 1s 19 months old, and we just had his 18 month old well child visit. Some of you may remember me posting about not being sure if he was sick or teething. Well he is definately teething, but he is sick too. The day of his appointment (6 days ago) he started to get a dry cough. Since my allergies had been acting up, we assumed thats what his was to, and he ended up getting his flu shot. Well the dry cough turned into a wet cough, his nose started running, and he has had a low fever. I have been using Baby Vicks, warm baths/steam, and tylonol for the fever. Early this morning he woke up and threw up. I gave him a bath, and washed his clothes/bedding, and gave him tylonol because he had a fever. All day he has been acting a little lethargic, and a bit cranky, but overall he has done ok. He hasnt been eating as much, but I figured that was normal. Well about 30 minutes ago, he threw up again. Not a little throw up, like the excorcist, projectile vomiting. He did it like 3 times back to back. I gave him another bath, and I noticed a rash on his upperback/neck. It is only 2 splothces, and not anywhere else, but I cant tell what it is... Any ideas? My computer is stupid and wont let me post them pics, but here are a couple links.

Also what are somethings I can feed him that wont upest his tummy? TIA!

I would just try dry toast. The red marks could be from a clothing tag rubbing?

strep maybe?

for his tummy, he can eat bananas or apple sauce or crackers or toast. also, put vick's on the bottom of his feet and put socks on him. it helps alot with the cough believe it or not.

Just give him clear fluids and soda crackers.
Avoid dairy.

I get red splotches all over my neck and face when I throw up.
Maybe that's it?

My son had broken out in rash once ,not knowing what it was I took him to his pedi and it ended up being a fever rash from a virus he had just gotten over. When my little ones have upset stomachs I always push pedialyte and if they can keep that down I start giving them saltine crackers, then move up to chicken noodle soup and so on.Hope your little man feels better soon. 

DD has all the same symptoms minus the rash (because we caught it in time) and minus the stomach ache.
she has strep. the upset stomach can still be a symptom of strep and so can the rash. when the rash breaks out, it's known as scarlet fever. i'm definitely not saying that's what it is, but those are all symptoms of it.

My DH is on his way to the store to get some bananas and apple sauce. We gave him some crackers, but he doesnt really want them.
The first poster was right about the rash. His dad put him in a sweater without a shirt on underneath, and the rash is almost completely gone now that he is in his jammies (thank god!).
I am going to try not to take him in tonight, but I already told DH if he throws up like that again, I'm not waiting. Hopefully we can last untill the morning though so we dont have to go to the ER.
@Kimber's mommy, were there any other symptoms? I have been wondering since yesterday if his throat is hurting him, but I cant tell if it is from his cough or what. He isnt acting like he is in alot of pain or anything, but he isnt wanting to drink as much. I'm trying to get him to drink pedialyte, but he just doesnt want it. Either way, I am definately going to get him checked out tomorrow. I'm also wondering if he could be having a reaction to his flu shot? It is the first time he has ever had it.

DD was coughing because of the strep throat apparently. she started her antibiotic on saturday night. yesterday she got a runny nose and also watery eyes. she is doing much better now, though. it's a good thing we got her into the doctor when we did. her actual pedi missed it and i had to take her to urgent care.

it says the more cold like symptoms you had, the less likely you are to have strep. at first, the doctor thought she just had a viral infection like the website has. he did a throat swab JUST IN CASE and it came back positive. she had the coughing and sneezing and running nose and watery eyes and everything.
she still wanted to eat/drink, but did it MUCH slower and had to take alot of breaks. she didn't act like she was in alot of pain, either. plus ontop of it all, she's teething really bad right now, so that explained some of her clingy-ness.

Looks like a fever rash. I'd call the doc just to be sure you never know. But for his tummy fluids power-aid over Gatorade or pedialite(sp?) And banana's and crackers.

Well smurf me... DS is doing alot better today. He is keeping down the water, and the bananas, and doesnt have a fever. However I have been up for about an hour and 30 minutes, and I have thrown up 3 times   I cant keep anything down, and I am 32 weeks pregnant. It is definately the flu. I feel like I am dying. I have a feeling I'm gonna end up in L&D for dehydration today.

Good luck try and push fluids I know it can be hard not being able to keep anything down.
