Drinking out of a regular cup...

How old was your kid when they were able to drink out of a regular cup? Just wondering....

Around 18 months.

Started around 14-15 months.

I'm not sure if it counts but dd has been drinking out of a regular cup that you hold for her since she was 4 months. She refused bottles so I came home one day and that's what my mother had her drinking breast milk out of. If you have a cup she'll pick it up and try to drink out of it unassisted now. She makes a mess but does drink some. She's 10 months.

Oh ok, my daughter just did it & it amazed the hell out of me lol. I posted it on FB & my sister told me they are supposed to be able to do that...I was like uhh then why do they make sippy cups? lol. My DD just turned a year Sunday btw. I started giving it to him around a year but he didn't want to give up the sippy until 18 months.

My 10 month old can if I let her.
