Gross possibly stupid questions about a bottle

Okay so I lost one of my sons bottles a while back ago, it still had a bit of old formula in it and when i found it possibly a week and a half later it looked pretty gross. Dark gooey grossness in a bottle I don't think it was mold but it was discolored. I was wondering should I clean it and am I still able to use it or would you just toss it? I'm not sure, it looks clean after I cleaned it I just don't know if it would be safe to use it still since it did have awful gunk in it.

BTW I use Playtex VentAire Advanced bottles (Love them, just so many damn parts to clean)

Any suggestions? Just toss or is it still usable? I know probably a stupid questions.

you could boil it and it might be okay... but i'd probably just toss it.

I agree.just wash it and boil it.I've been through it a few times.sometimes i let it soak over night.

I would definitely toss it... even if it was his last bottle. That was most likely mold... what else could it be?

I would have tossed it I wouldn't even wanna open the bottle of to clean it or I would probably throw up

I cleaned it cause I wasn't sure. I have not used it, its just been sitting on the counter awaiting its doom. I've been scared to use it, so I guess Ill just toss it. Thanks for the advice  

I found a bottle like that with DS1, and there was no way I was going to open it....so I just tossed it

And if you used his bottle washer to clean it I advise you throw that away too and hopefully you didn't clean other bottles with it afterward.

i udsully boil my kids bottles if the gross thing dont come out i udaully throw the nipple part out and buy new ones
