My 3.5 yr old will not stay in his bed.

I'm going to lose my cool really quick. I love my son more than life but he needs to sleep in and stay in his own bed. He falls asleep in his room after some persistence of putting him back and telling him to stay in bed. it usually takes about an hour. Within 2-3 hrs he is awake and in our bed. I take him back to his bed, and he comes right back. I am so sick of waking up and not being able to roll over because he's right on top of me. I tell him the night before that he needs to stay in his bed, and he cried and says "but I want to be close to you and daddy all the time" yes it breaks my heart but I think it is past time for him to stop this. What do I do? I need my bed back. Half the time when he comes in the middle of the night to our bed he doesn't even wake me up so I just wake up being smothered by him. I need help.

I'm having the same issues.... I'm so ready to lock our door. There's a big vent near the door so I could hear her if I shut it...

I wouldn't mind if we had a bigger bed and she wasn't such a wiggle worm while sleeping x-x

Have you tried putting a gate in his door way? I know it sounds meanbut it might work.

I put a gate at our door for a while but he just cried at it until one of us came out, put him back in bed, then he came back over and over.

It was an idea. I have no clue how I'm going to do as a mom in a few weeks lol
