re: Couches with kids

We have an ikea couch with changeable upholstery, it's "sectional" I guess, one part is like a lounge seat with a longer leg rest/chaise thing.

I discovered shortly after having kids that expensive furniture was just gonna have to wait until after everyone was post slobber/poop/puke phase.

We like it, though, and being able to easily change the "look" of it is a bonus to me.

when i had mine it was very light tan and my daughters father works on cars and we had three dogs, i used to take all the covers off throw em in the wash with a drop of dish soap and the came out like brand new! i loved it cuz it got the hair off and smelt way better so totally agree!!

This is embarrassing because it is a mess, but this gives you an idea..

Yep.. I had been using an attachment to a shampooer to clean this.. Then i realized the covers came off lmbo.

I tried that and my entire house smelled for like 2 weeks, even with the windows all open when I did it. DH was not happy.

I use vinegar/water to clean ours.

Does anyone have a leather couch with a picture?

I have no idea what kind of leather it is. It's not fake leather...that's about all I know

It works! The only problem is, ours is so far gone I have yet to clean it completely. The rubbing alcohol works, though!   I wish the covers of ours came off.
