Balloons

We went to H&R Block today to file our taxes and the lady at the front desk filled up a helium balloon and asked if she could give it to DS. We told her sure and oh my lord, I have never seen a kid so excited. He's never seen a balloon before aside from one balloon hat that was made for him at a Christmas party. He kept letting it go and watching it float to the ceiling and squealing haha. He ran around and kept looking behind him to see if it was following him. It was tied to his hand, so obviously it was and he thought it was the greatest thing ever. He had every worker there cracking up. Totally made up for our disappointing return amount. It's safe to say we will be renting a helium pump for his second birthday in April lol.

I'm waiting for him to accidentally pop it and be scarred for life... lol. The lady actually asked if she could give it to him or if he would scared of it and I thought that was odd, but apparently a lot of kids are scared of balloons. He's been hugging it and throwing it ever since we get home lol.

My daughter LOVES balloons too (she's 3). I have a hard time going to the Dollar Tree without buying her one haha. She's popped some and it hasn't stopped her love for them lol

My son has been obsessed with them since about 5 months old. We tied two to his hand at our wedding and he cracked up. Now if we go to the store and he sees one all he says is "balloon" until we give in or leave hah.

Aww! I wish now we had done balloons at our wedding because he was not a happy baby that day haha.

That makes me feel better! He was practically throwing himself on top of it when we got home and I just kept wincing, afraid it was going to scare him if it popped lol.
