I would recommend something like nuva ring. And Depo is really bad for your body. And it doesnt last 3 years... you have to go back every 3 months to get it and the max time that you can get the shot is 2 years. I think you should do some research into depo shot.

Nuva ring is worse. Do you really think a 16 year old will know how to properly put it in?

C'mon. u know teens will have sex. Sex is a glorious thing. Telling her not to have it won't work. The best we an do is help educate her.
And that's rare.

This!! I got pregnant while faithfully using birth control and condoms EVERY time we had sex. I honestly thought that it would be almost impossible for me to get pregnant. I mean I was being safe right? Not the case I still ended up getting pregnant.

Sex is not a glorious thing. Is it worth the extra struggle to get through school? loosing your teenage years? Becoming a single mom and having to struggle through everything? I think not. Seriously if I could go back I would have never been as nieve (sp) and stupid as I was.

Look, just because yours sucked, doesn't mean everyones will. Just because you got pregnant on BC doesn't mean everyone does.

Agreed, my 6 year old and this baby were both conceived while on birthcontrol AND using other family planning methods. op, if you were my daughter I would prefer you and your boyfriend engaged in sexual activity that didn't include intercourse. That's easier said than done though, so if you do choose to keep having intercourse please double or triple up on the protection.
Depo is terrible for your body, the pill in combination with condoms and knowing when you ovulate to avoid sexual intercourse on those days would be really really effective. Good luck to you. Keep us posted.
