parents with autistic kids....

my 2 year old has been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. she does not speak at all yet. im wondering at what age pitty training happened for you, she cannot tell me when she has to go or anything. she will sit on the potty and go when i tell her to, but not all the time.

My daughter is 3 and she's not potty trained yet. She's sort of in progress, but she doesn't communicate to me when she needs to go, or even when her diaper is wet/dirty.

We are just starting to see some progress with potty training and he was 5 in September. Every kid on the spectrum is SO different though, but in general from what I've read, around 4-5 is when most with moderate-severe delays will usually start to train.

My daughter isn't on the spectrum, but she just turned 3 and she isn't ready yet. I think I heard that two even for typical children is pretty average.
