My Fitness Pal

So I am confused....using My Fitness Pal it says I should eat 1200 calories a day (I am pretty good about it and the highest I have gone over is 58 calories). I work out and burn around 200 in cardio 3-5 days a week and I do strength training at least 5 days out of the week. Should I be eating the calories I burn back? It seems like that would be to maintain my weight, I still have 50 pounds I want to lose.

I do not eat the calories I burn, I'm not sure if you're suppose to tho.

I am being told I should and am starving myself. I eat the calories I am allotted and yes, I am hungry still. However I got myself into needing to lose 60 pounds because I ate too much (and have really always felt like I could eat unless I just had a huge meal).

They say you are supposed to. That 1200 is the minimum your body needs to function, so if you burn off another 500 in exercise, you're supposed to eat that so your body still has those 1200 for basic functions. That is how MFP is set up to work. Whether you choose to eat them back or not is up to you, but you are supposed to at least eat some back (especially if your calories are only at 1200).
