Diva Cup USERS

I'm using the Diva Cup this cycle for the first time ever. I have read stories of the Diva Cup lasting 8-10 hours or more, but my Diva Cup fills up within 2-4 hours. I am on the Paragard and loose a lot of blood while on my period, but this seems like a lot. I use cloth pads to catch what leaks, but this morning, nothing caught the leaks and I had the Diva Cup in for less than 3 hours..

I guess the question is, how often do you ladies empty YOUR Diva Cup? And what form of BC are you using? Are your periods heavy, moderate, or light?

when I wasn't pregnant I used the diva cup, I'll go right back to it after this baby too.

I have fairly moderate cycles, with a couple heavy days.
on the heavy days I change it every 3ish hours, on my normal days I can pretty much go all day without changing it.

What size do you have? If you have a kid you should get size 2. But I'm not on birth control but I have heavy periods lasting 7 days when I first started using the diva cup. On heavy days I would empty it every 2-3 hours. Never had a major leak just small staining a pad could catch.

I guess that's my issue. I read somewhere that it could hold more than 2-3 hours of blood unlike a tampon thus why I bought it, but it's still easier than a tampon so I can't complain. It'll just be something I empty and reinsert while at work and I'll wash it in hot soapy water once I am at home.
