Recipes for feeding 6 on $6.50/day

posted 28th Jan
The challenge is:
Family of 6.
Must be well balanced.
$45 for the week.
$6.50 per day.
$2.15 per meal.

Give me a breakfast, a lunch and a dinner that all fall under $2.15 per meal.

I spend $400 a month for a family of three and that includes house hold items too such as cleaners, paper towels, diapers, toilet paper, etc.

I can do $65-100/week pretty easily for my family of 4.

The family this is for doesn't have a choice though.

Eggs are awesome for breakfast..or any other meal! Oranges are pretty cheap right now...

Pasta is also a good idea, thanks.

Our average is 80.

Let me think on this.

I know I'd do a rice/bean dinner, and a breakfast dinner once a week if I needed to cut it down even more. But let me think on specifics...it's hard for me to imagine cutting it down even further.
