Easy/Cheap/HEALTHY sides...

posted 28th Jan
Im about to write up a meal plan. I plan on doing mostly chicken, with maybe some turkey or beef...But I need some simple, healthy, not too expensive side dishes

I could do chicken breasts with steamed broccoli (or another steamed veggi) every night, but that gets boring...

i like green beans with almonds. saute garlic and olive oil in a pan with some sliced or slivered almonds. toss in the green beans and let it all cook around for a few minutes on the stove. salt and pepper. it's easy and tasty and not too bad for you.

I love roasted broccoli! Have you ever tried roasting it with a bit of balsamic vinegar? It's really good.

ohh roasted carrots are spectacular too! they come out soooo sweet. you cut them in half, toss them with olive oil, salt, and pepper, then put them on baking sheet and sprinkle them with some fresh thyme. i forget the oven temp and time, but they come out so good!

I can, but my SIL can't. Guess it depends on your area.
