excessive hairyness

Could being extremely hairy be a sign of any medical issues? Lol I ask this because my 4 year old is super tiny and very hairy. Ive neever seen such a hairy back on a young child.

Genetics??? I dont think that is something to be worried about but I am not sure. Hope someone has the right answer for you.

My sons extremely hairy, but hes been that way since he was born. we called him wolverine for a little bit. I wouldnt be too worried about it.

My 4 year old daughter has a crazy hairy lower back. I was hopeful it'd eventually thin out, but I don't think that is going to be the case. Lol

Christopher is almost 3 and he's got a full back of hair too. It's genetic, I think. I am hairy too haha

I would say it's genetics. Especially if they have brown hair. When my niece came out she came out with a happy trail of dark hair down her lower back into her butt crack. I've never seen that before. And she still has SO much hair.

And my 7 year old is EXTREMELY hairy, but it's blonde. I always look at him like "if this kid was a girl we'd have to shave his legs!"

My dad's side of the family is full blooded Italians, all the men have extensive hair issues. I expect it to continue.

My son is extremely hairy. His issues are absolutely genetic.   His upper arms/legs/back are all covered in dark brown hair. It's going to be scary when he's a teenager. He even has a teeny tiny darkish mustache coming in. lol He's 4. His brothers aren't quite as hairy, but all of them have a fair amount of hair on their backs/legs.

Lol I guess the vote is genetics haha she does have some hairy genes I guess. I'm italian and german and her dad is mexican.

That definitely sounds like an unfortunate genetic recipe for hair.
