PCOS mamas

When your doctor put you on Provera how long after you finished your pills did it take you to get your period? I am taking my last pill today and feeling nothing from it yet.

Almost a week.

May I ask what that is for? I found out I have PCOS right before I got pregnant with this one. He knew I was trying so he didn't put me on anything. Im obviously fertile this is my second kid but I have problems with hair on my face.. Its soooo annoying does that help with that?

No. Provera is just helping to jump start my periods. They have me on Metformin ER to help with that kind of stuff. I just started it so idk if it will be working or not.

Is this a progesterone booster?

I am not sure. I know it gives you the extra boost you need in your hormones to make you have your period again.

My doctor put me on a steroid but that was ten years ago. Sorry, I can't be much help with that.

Those of you women that are on metformin, has it helped with facial hair and weight gain? I've done sugar busters to keep my blood sugar under control, but my weight and other issues have just kinda gone out of control.

I have been on metformin for five days and have already lost six pounds on it. Idk about the facial hair or any of that though.
