School and pregnant

posted 28th Jan
Do you think that it isn't possible to go to school and be pregnant?

I wonder this because I often hear that excuse out of people saying they cannot be pregnant and attending school at the same time which makes no sense. I went to school and was pregnant, had my child at the beginning of the fall semester and continued going to school. My teachers gave me the work I needed to get done and I stayed in contact with them through email.

Yes, it is possible.

The only reason I could think that it may be difficult was if your finals were right at the same time as your due date and they wouldn't consider rescheduling if you happened to go into labor at the same time.

It depends but I know I couldn't attend school and be pregnant so I started college after I was done with the baby making.

It is possible but not always easy ( say like u are bed ridden or something)

I went to school pregnant and still managed to do school activities ( I was a light and sound tech) and graduate with scholarships- I walked the line with a big belly.

I went to school the fall before I had DD in December. I went up until 3 days before I went into labor, or the day before my EDD. My professors worked with me on letting me hand in assignments late and whatever else I needed. I got As and Bs in all but one class. It is possible as long as you're comfortable and you're not high risk.

ETA: Or if your schooling involves dangerous substances or activities to pregnancy, of course.

Definitely possible. I graduated with 2 kids. Having had my son just a month before I walked the stage but I did hear that alot from girl's that they couldn't finish school cause they were pregnant.

I was on bed rest for like three weeks I think. I just always kept in touch with my teachers. Now I just do online classes because they are easier.

I did online classes while pregnant. I tried to take another online class that would end when I was due so I dropped it because the teacher was strict on deadlines and I wouldn't have been able to make up the final.

I was in college when I got pregnant with DD. and I had a horrible pregnancy I was high risk. I wasn't allowed to get out if bed. Unless it was to use the bathroom. So I had to drop my classes for medical reasons. Otherwise I would of stayed in school.

With my first, yeah I could have gone. Second? No. I had a VERY rough pregnancy and had to be taken by ambulance during the first trimester. The rest of the pregnancy I had to go to the hospital ever week to get transfusions.
