I'm not thinking about dating this guy, it started out as us hanging out and watching tv. I just don't want to feel guilty just for hanging out and flirting.

Hanging out is fine but if you're already spending so much time together and feel a connection and he's texting you first thing in the morning, that's more than hanging out. Or will be shortly.

From what it sounds like he doesnt see you guys as a couple but if hes willing to work on it and so are you i wouldnt start dating hanging out with a guy is different as long as you dont feel guilty or wont later just dont jump into something that doesnt feel right

The hard part is it feels comfortable. I've known him for over 3 years, and his mom and I are close. We just had a lot of fun, and I don't feel guilty now, I just don't want to develop feelings and screw things up with Peter, but I don't want to stop hanging out with the other guy either.

Friend, you and Peter have been through so much together. If you think you want to work it out, cool it with boss' son. And try to work on it when you're able to. Even if come Feb you guys talk and it's not gonna work, at least you know you gave it every ounce of effort you could to make it work. In the mean time, explain to boss' son that you don't know whats going on with you and Peter and you want to see what, if anything happens after court. If this dude likes you, he'll understand that you're in a tough spot right now and he'll wait til you talk with Peter. If ya wanna talk, let me know!

Sarah it's driving me nuts, I almost messaged you on facebook about it earlier. I love Peter, but he doesn't want to get married, and doesn't want another baby. I don't know if I can compromise what I want anymore. I've been waiting for him to change his mind for years now. I don't know if I can do it anymore.

Dustin is a really great guy, I know he'd understand if I told him I needed to hold off, but right now I don't know if I want to.

i know you can't talk to peter right now, but have you ever told him that you don't know if you can compromise anymore and if something doesn't give then you can't be with him?

I agree whole heartedly with he should know after 5 years. Have you asked him to be specific why he doesn't want to get married? I asked Phil that the other day, cause in March we'll have been together for 5 also and he told me part of it is my family (he doesn't like them and they don't like him) and the other part of it is him is holding on to his youth. So now I know where he's coming from and while I don't sympathize with him at all (especially cause he isn't marrying my family!) I know that he does think about it (not that it makes it right or any better) and we can work on it. I feel like we have the same relationship!

I asked his dad to let him know how I felt about the subject. I told him it's not worth working it out if he's not willing to get married. As much as it sucks it might be over. I guess I'll find out at the end of february.
