Quoting .Solange.:" wow that's good. Do you buy snacks or fruits for the kids too? (those things are expensive lol)"

sorry im at work and got busy.

yep we do snacks. granola bars, cliff z bars. lots of fruit ropes and such. i usually get those at target cuz you can get the big boxes for less.

we also do air popped popcorn alot which is super cheap and a healthy snack. we put parmesan cheese on it usually. they also eat a ton of string cheese, yogurt (and fruit dipped in yogurt like bananas and berries).

i always buy the bulk packages of meat, and split them at home. its ALOT cheaper that way i find.

Quoting speaktruth2powr:" $200 a week is a lot of money for 2 people. We spend $100 a week for 2 adults and a teenager who is ... [snip!] ... who is a vegan. Meal plan, don't buy junk, don't buy food made & marketed directly for children, don't by pre-made meals."

Definately advice that I need to keep in mind!

It is just myself and my daughter and I spend around 80-100 bucks every two weeks. I never use coupons either, although I should start because then I could save even more.

Quoting .Solange.:" *bows down* that is amazing. A little over 300$ a month? wow I'm on a diet and I buy a lot of fresh ... [snip!] ... enough time for me in the day. I guess that's where all the money goes. I really have to put in an effort to cook more often"

you have to make time. i work full time as well, my youngest LO goes to 2-3 different types of therapy a week, plus at least 2 doctor apts. i have a dog, and a cat, and 3 needy children,. and still find time to prepare meals, even if i only get a few hours of sleep. its so much better for them than the pre processed junk, and youll actually have more energy if you eat clean as well.

Yessss!!! The slow cooker was my bff when I was working especially. I could throw some food in there before I went to work and when we got home it was ready.

i spend about 200 every other week and that includes 2 adults a 2 year old and buying formula and baby food for a 5 month old. I always plan on what im going to buy at the store i dont buy junk food much cookies here and there for my 2 year old but we mostly buy fruit for him to snack on. I barely ever use coupons unless i find one i could really use and we have alot of left over days. The day before i go food shopping i always clean out my refrigerator and pantry so i can see what i really need

I have SO, Myself and two little girls.

I shop bi-weekly, every second Friday I spend $250 on a bigger shop and then a week later I will spend another $50-$60 on things like bread, milk, fresh fruit and veggies.

So $600-$650 per month on groceries.

For just you and your daughter, You should easily be able to eat very well on $300-400 per month.
