Best way to get sharpie off white walls?

posted 28th Jan
DS3 got a sharpie somewhere and colored all over his white bedroom walls. Our lease is up in June and we are moving so I need to know if there is something that will take it off, or do I just need to break down and paint over it? *Sigh*

If its flat paint you will have to primer and paint. If its semi gloss you might have a chance...

This. Magic erasers are truly magical.

Magic eraser. If that doesn't get it all I'd paint it. I know nail polish remover gets it off countertops and lotion gets it off skin but Idk what either of those would do to the wall (probably more damage for the polish remover) so yeah. Try an eraser then paint. Lol.

I read somewhere that toothpaste helps... but I think this might have been just for crayon. I'd be curious if it'd work with sharpie. I know it was a life savor for us when my DS colored all over the walls with crayon.

If its flat paint the magic eraser won't work. ( my daughter did this a few years ago) only paint and primer in one will work. Axe deodorant spray gets sharpie off wood . I was amazed wen I tried it.

Hairspray works wonders. My son put marker all over our white walls and hairspray was the only thing that worked.
